22 Prime is the perfect place to take one’s significant other on a special date night or anniversary. It is also the right place to seal business deals or enjoy a brunch with one’s family on a Sunday morning.
Located on the 22nd floor of Discovery Suites in Ortigas Center, 22 Prime is a high-end steakhouse that offers mouth-watering dishes.
Here are some of the dishes I’ve tried on my visit:
For starters, we were served lobster bisque which is poached lobster in shellfish oil, with tomato herb crouton, and emmental herb brioche.
Next was a generous serving of grilled Selva Jumbo Prawns with parsley marble potato and sautéed haricot verts.
Their best-seller Surf and Turf was served next which was a grilled Angus rib-eye, and jumbo prawns, with twice baked potato, served with their signature sauces.
We were also served a USDA braised beef short ribs, which was a roasted bone marrow, served with butternut square puree, glazed baby carrots, and asparagus.
Next was the Wagyu Hanger Steak, which was a 200g grilled Snake River Farms hanger steak, with herb roasted mushrooms, and truffle fries.
My personal favorite was the grilled mixed seafood platter which was generously filled with grilled prawns, salmon, tuna, mahi-mahi, squid, and mussels served with Corn on the Cobb, grilled veggies, heirloom rice pilaf, and traditional sauces.
Their Prime’s Tomahawk is probably the highlight of the meal. A USDA Prime Angus Bone-in rib eye served with grilled asparagus, mushroom, Tomato Parmesan, truffle potato gratin (the best I’ve ever tasted), and their signature sauces.
For dessert, we were served a chocolate marquise, which is a 22 Prime signature dessert. It’s a soft chocolate mousse with vanilla English cream and pistachio bits.
I must say, every dish served was worth every penny.
